I'm still a bit off my game, photographically. This new camera (the Fuji; for shorthand, we'll call it Vera) is an amazing creature - no doubt about that - but I don't know it as well as I knew my Nikkormat. There's still a bit of hesitation, a moment or two of thinking, where I try to remember which button does what or how to get the effect I want.
I'm easing out of that, deliberately using weird functions, instead of limiting myself to the pan-n-zoom and flash which I already know how to use. This camera has an awesome range and I intend to make full use of it.
As soon as I learn the tricky thing, anyway.
